1.8m buried solid concrete, drinking water distribution pipe
Flows are measured to allow automatic Chlorine dosing
The pipe could not be drilled or cut
The system had to be robust so the pipe could be re-buried

Solution

After testing using the Minisonic P portable flowmeter
An Ultraflux Ultrasonic Clamp-on flowmeter was specified and installed.
High power clamp-on probes were used.
No flow shutdown was needed.
The control unit outputs data to an automatic chemical dosing system.
